Dream Ship
Bilbao, Spain 2018
64 x 15 x 3
SOLD
A testament to faith in a dream.
The economy of Bilbao was depressed, its shipyards abandoned.

In an unusual move, the locals chose to raise their taxes to pay for a museum, hoping that art would revive their struggling economy.
It worked.

Frank Gehry designed the undulating curves of the Guggenheim Museum’s titanium-clad walls to honor the ships once fabricated on the site.

And now over a million people visit this sculptural structure yearly which is the largest architectural project in the world to come in under budget and on time.
